He is currently signed to Hot N Cold Ent. Raphael is the Chairman of Grammy Award Winning Beats How U Want Em Production Company along side is co founders Rodnae Da Boss & Alger Johnson. Artist you can hear on Beats How U Want Em consit of both Major & independent artist such as Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Fiend, Styles P, Yvng Jin, Hurricane Chris, Lil Snupe, Master P, Lil Romeo, Juvenile and Currensy among others. Early in RJ2's Career he is best known for producing Flo Rida's "Fresh I Stay" ft Lil Wayne & Jovi Rockwell (which is also featured in The Sims 3 video game) and Styles P's "Murda Mommy" , along with Hurricane Chris's "Hot Like Lava". Raphael RJ2 produced the theme music for Ed Lover's "C’mon, Son!" show which contains a sample of Ed Lover’s voice saying "C’mon, Son!" and also contains Raphael RJ2's Signature beat production Tag "Beats How U Want Em! Raphael on the track!" at the intro of the music. September 22 2014 Raphael RJ2 released his Debut album Sapiosexual Eargasm world wide off his label Hot N Cold Ent on his Birthday.
Being an independent new artist with little promotion the album only sold a few thousand copies digitally yet the quality of the music & production of the album made enough noise to gain fans across social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Soundcloud & Reverbnation. Raphael RJ2 went #1 for 3 months September to December on Reverbnation Charts.
January 1st 2015 Raphael RJ2 announced on Reverbnation that he was thankful for all the new fans he had gained and would engage more with his fans & also start sharing his music on Twitter and Facebook.
Raphael RJ2 then took to facebook and Set a goal January 1st to reach 5,000 fans and at the time he only had 1,128 fans on facebook.
That day Raphael RJ2 posted a song off his Sapiosexual Eargasm Album called "Better Man" and titled it #RealtionshipGoals which had pics and videos of president Barack Obama & Michelle Obama throughout the video to his facebook.
People started sharing the song & it gained Raphael RJ2 more fans at a faster rate than he expected & would soon hit the 5000 Milestone.

Dec 25 2015 on Christmas Raphael RJ2 released a Single from his new Optimistic Nostalgia Album called "Baby I Love It" and his fans loved the song Liked & Shared it and it attracted new fans and soon after RJ2 reached a new Milestone of over 100,000 likes & Posted a Picture thanking his New & Older fans. Early Life
Raphael RJ2 was born September 22, 1978 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe Louisiana. His mother is Alma H Johnson and his father is Raphael Johnson from whom he is named after thus leading to the alias stage name RJ2 which means Raphael Johnson II for short. His father died at 42 when Raphael RJ2 was younger. Raphael RJ2 has two brothers, Alger Johnson and Roby Peoples. Raphael's oldest brother Roby who was a singer and musician taught him how to play his first piano chords at the age of 5. Later through Raphael's early childhood school years Raphael participated in the band and choir from elementary through high school. Raphael Plays the piano,saxophone, trumpet, drums and guitar amongst other live instruments.
Beats How U Want Em
Beats How U Want Em is the name of Raphael RJ2's production company. Established in the year 2000 along side his founding production team members brother Alger "King Al" Johnson and Rodney "Rodnae" B Young Jr . In 2009 Beats How U Want Em won a Grammy for production on the Lil Wayne Tha Carter III album courtesy of Rodnae & managers Mousa & Richard Jones for the song titled "DontGetIt" aka "Misunderstood" that contains a sample of "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Nina Simone. 'Tha Carter III' was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
